Just in these days, Italy is experiencing a real climate crisis and younger people seem to be particularly aware of these topics. This is shown by over 500 students between the age of 13 and 16 years, who last Monday, the 27th of May, gathered at the Piccolo Strehler Theatre in Milan for the event “Climate Change, becoming aware in order to act”, organized in the framework of the Festival for Sustainable Development promoted by Asvis

The event, organized by the City Council of Milan along with Milano 2046 – Workshop for a common future – the Sustainable Development School has been a discussion between students and distinguished speakers, among them Fabiano Ventura, who explained to the young people, through the project results, how climate change is evidenced by the glaciers retreat. Among the speakers Enrico Giovannini, Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development; Valentina Bosetti, Università Bocconi and European Institute on Economics and the Environment; Stuart Scott, Executive Director di Scientist’ Warning; Paola Fiore, Climate Reality Project; Grammenos Mastrojeni, Diplomat and Coordinator for Environment and Science for Development Aid.
