Mythical photographs at the Royal Geographical Society of London

Today I have seen mythical photographs that have made not only the history of mountaineering but also exploration and geography. I began the long work of selection and geographical recognition of the huge archive produced by the British expeditions to Everest.
I will never take 3 days, I have to study and select over 15,000 prints by checking the hand-written captions to understand where the images were taken from. A very long job that will take me here to London for many other times before leaving for the Himalayas.
The Royal Geographical Society is a wonderful place to breathe the history of geographic exploration!
