Next June 21st Fabiano Ventura will be protagonist of the show “Festival della Luce 2020 – Streaming edition”, that will air at 9pm on Espansione Tv. The other guests of the program that will be conducted by Alessandro Cecchi Paone will be the meteorologist and climatologist Andrea Giuliacci (who will be present in the studio) and the Nobel Prize winner Michel Mayor who, like Fabiano Ventura, will be connected online.

It will be the final evening of the VII edition of the Festival of Light Lake Como, promoted by the Alessandro Volta Foundation and this year will have as its central theme “The Sun”, chosen for affinity, complementarity and contrast compared to last year when the protagonist was “The Moon”.

The choice of the theme also underlines the coincidence with the expected minimum solar activity from 2020 – foreseen by NASA – with effects on the climate and favourable conditions for sending space probes.

This 2020 edition, for the current health emergency situation, is proposed in streaming and through radio and television. Until June 20, every day at 6.30 pm on the social channels of the Volta Foundation, video contributions from scientists and people of culture who will talk about the sun in antiquity, meteorology, astrophysics, biodiversity, social emergencies related to climate change.

The Festival, realized with the patronage of the Municipality of Como and the Lombardy Region, under the aegis of UNESCO and with the collaboration of the Scientific Committee of the Festival itself, counts among its media partners, Espansione Tv and Corriere di Como.
