Glaciers are true gauges for our planet, they are telling us about the ongoing climate changes that are taking place all over the world. Furthermore, their dynamics have always affected and still affects the life of mountain communities and of living animal and vegetable forms.
The close relationship between ice masses and life in all its aspects will be discussed at the conference “Human Beings and Glaciers”, which will be held on the 21st of May from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Department of Science of the University Roma Tre and which will be attended by glaciologists, photographers, biologists, humanists and writers.
